EXPLANATION: 1st EXPERIMENT: AIR CONTRACTS. one bottle, glass with water and food coloring, ice water in a bowl and hot water. When we put hot water in a bottle, the air expands and gets out of the bottle. Quickly we put that bottle in icy water with food coloring and the air instantly contracts (because it is very cold) and the blue water occupies the space of the air.
2nd EXPERIMENT: AIR EXPANDS. Because we put hot water in the first bowl, the air of the bowl passes to the second bottle. The blue water in the second bottle doesn't have space because the air is pushing down, so the water goes out to the third bottle. The air needs space.
